2020 - The bicentenary of the discovery of the electromagnetic current

In 1820, we knew very little on electricity. One makes no relation between electrical charges and magnets. Stimulated by the experiment of the Danish Oersted, Ampère will build the theory of electrodynamics which prefigure the global theory of electromagnetism of the Scottish Maxwell. Later, Maxwell qualifies Ampère as the "Newton of electricity".
