Why should I submit an abstract to CIRED 2025?

There are many reasons to submit an abstract to CIRED 2025, but we’ll try and keep this bit short!

CIRED is one of Europe’s most prestigious events for the Power Distribution industry and is guaranteed to offer you:

  • Global Networking: Share your findings with other industrial experts from across the globe. CIRED attracts over 1,600 professionals from industry and academia from over 60 countries, every time.
  • Presentation: Present your work as either an oral presentation or a poster presentation. CIRED is an opportunity to be creative and show off your findings and your personality!
  • Publication: All papers that are accepted and presented at CIRED 2025 will be published on a range of digital platforms including IEEE Xplore, IET Inspec, Ei Compendex, and Scopus
  • Visibility: See your name in our digital programme, circulated to thousands of power industry experts in advance of the conference. It’s time to get the recognition that you deserve!
  • Inspire: Share your findings and help to shape the future.

Sounds great but where do I begin?

We provide all the information that you could possibly need for submitting an abstract to CIRED 2025. You can find each detail of the submission process on the Author Information page.

Are there any specific dates or deadlines that I should be aware of?

Add these important dates to your calendar to ensure you don’t miss anything:

Abstract submission deadline Friday, 13 September 2024
Author notification Friday, 8 November 2024
Full papers deadline Friday, 24 January 2025
Author notification Friday, 28 March 2025
Author paper amendment deadline Friday, 11 April 2025

How do I know which session I should submit to?

There is a full technical scope that highlights all the subject areas covered by each of the six CIRED sessions. We recommend reading all the sessions in full before selecting which one to submit your abstract to.

Don’t worry though! If the Technical Committee feels as though you will be better suited to a different session when they review your submission, they will move your paper to that session and ensure that you are still reviewed fairly.

How do I check the status of my submission?

CIRED 2025 utilises the Oxford Abstracts submission system. We’ll ask you to create an account when you submit your abstract, and you can use it to monitor the progress of your submission/s. You will also receive email notifications from the CIRED 2025 organisers to keep you up to date on developments.

I’ve submitted an abstract, but I am not longer able to attend the conference. What do I do?

We're sorry to hear that you are no longer able to join us.

All submitted and accepted papers must be presented at the conference in order to be eligible for publication. It does not need to be the submitter who presents the paper though! If one of your co-authors can present on your behalf, then your paper will still be eligible for publication.

I need a visa letter to support my application process. Can you help me with this?

We certainly can!

You will need to register and make payment for the conference prior to us issuing any supporting letters though. This allows us to support your case should the visa office contact us for comment.

Once you have registered, please send the following information to us and we will be very happy to help:

  • Proof of payment for registration
  • Full name as it appears on your passport
  • Address
  • Passport number
  • Date of birth
  • Country of residence.
