Liang Ying

Director of the Power Distribution Technology Center, CEPRI
President of the Shanghai Energy Internet Research Institute, State Grid Corporation of China

LIANG Ying has over 20 years of R&D experience in smart power distribution and relay protection. As a senior researcher and Director/President, she has led the research for over 30 projects including multiple national funds and accomplished a series of significant achievements in the area of power distribution, rural electrification, distributed energy resources, microgrids, relay protection, etc.

President LIANG has published over 30 SCI/EI papers, been granted 30 invention patents, and won 20 awards on the provincial/SGCC level.

Mrs.LIANG is also a Doctoral Supervisor at CEPRI, a Master Supervisor at North China Electric Power University and China Agricultural University, and a visitor scholar at Illinois Institute of Technology in 2016.

Benoît Revaz

Director of the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE)

Benoît Revaz has been Director of the SFOE since 2016. Prior to his current position, he held various management positions in Entreprises Electriques Fribourgeoises (now Group E), EOS Holding, Alpiq Holding and E-CUBE Strategy Consultants.

Gilles Thonet

Deputy Secretary-General, International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), Switzerland

Gilles Thonet is the Deputy Secretary-General of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) as well as the Secretary of the IEC Standardization Management Board (SMB). In his current role, Gilles oversees the IEC technical boards, the IEC strategy, legal and compliance matters, as well as external relationships with partner organizations.

A technology executive with international experience in high tech industrial companies (including ABB, Eaton and Schneider Electric), Gilles has a PhD in Signal Processing from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Louvain School of Engineering, Belgium, and an MBA from Grenoble Graduate School of Business, France.
